A Perspective on Perspectives
Have you ever fought about a position with another person and you simply couldn't figure out why he or she could not agree with you? Have you ever realized that it may be you who are grey and your world is colorful? When I lost my left leg ACL tissue, I knew I could never dance again. But is it so? I knew that in my instant childhood, my dream fell apart and I would have to wear a knee brace around my leg all the time. Extreme depression and low levels of mental health formed how I looked on to things in my life and that is how those became my personal perspective.
It is always perspective. Perspectives come to us in filtered forms. Filtered by religion, culture, socio-economic backgrounds, intellect, instinct, history, beliefs and motivation, they form a looking glass for what we think about the thing or the person. But they are not always true. Perspectives may be authentic and special to one person and fantasy to the other.
When it comes to talking about several factors, what happens is that we are afraid of losing arguments with certain people who have a different filter of perspective. Maybe they are not too compassionate or they are not born in Africa or America or India, maybe they follow Lucifer or worship Satan, maybe they live in dark, maybe they are messed up mentally, maybe they believe in self-love, maybe they love blue and you love green, maybe….there are never enough maybes to filter what one believes in and what one sees. The gist is perspective.
We are often told, "Change your perspective of life and you will see everything pink and rosy." Is that so? How can I filter my perspective again? I am an unfiltered self, torn from the deepest corners of my heart and left to her own ways and situations, how can I see everything pink, when I want it to be blue? Consider your perspective true but never in a chance to win or lose argument, change them.
Consider that you have the best outlook about something that happens in the world. Consider that you always see the world in color you love and never differentiate. Consider that perspective matters and perspective is filtered.
Sometimes we see things as permanent, when they are not. And I am not exclusive- millennials and young adults often refer to "success" as a permanent destination. They often refer how they are stuck in cubical space of their job and they won't reach that permanent destination. But is it always this way? Why do we not see other ways when we lose one way? Perspectives
Perspectives can make you look at problems and then solutions. Perspective can make you look at lessons and then success. And that is why perspectives are filtered. Remember that, they are relative and changeable. When your filters update, so do your perspective. When you apply 'Jaipur' to your perspective, it is all beautiful and pretty, but when you apply 'Tokyo' why is everything black and white? Filters.
Perspectives and filters and Filters and perspective, together they are a couple that form your outlook.
