LOCKDOWN - The World Turned up

I am speechless and I don’t have words to write down. I have written much on this epidemic, discovering both the positives and negatives of it. It has been like one day we slept in the real world and then woke up in its mirror image but very different from what we wished and what it should have been. There was suddenly no dream of going to Switzerland; Paris was no more romantic; Disneyland seemed to lose its magic. Mecca and Medina is empty, Golden Temple has no crowd, Taj Mahal is no more desired to be seen. New York doesn’t stand up anymore. Los Angeles has less night crowds. Night clubs have no people. Restaurants are shut down.

Hugs and kisses have become weapons and not visiting parents and friends is an act of care and love. Standing away and not displaying affection is lovelier.Suddenly, money becomes useless and you know, it can’t buy you oxygen you are looking for. The trees are swinging and birds are chirping. There are more dogs on streets and less children playing. We see sparrows and koels, and the world is running. Nature is doing its job but the pace of the world is strong. Humans are getting reverted with what they had earlier done, they are in cages now. The Earth, air, water are doing better without us. They are sending us a message that “You are the guests and not masters- not the one who controls. I am giving you possessions, you can keep them but you can not control them. If I give you, I can take them back from you. When you are born again, remember this and then land on Earth.”

The world has turned upside down for now the reality has changed into nightmarish fantasy. The most unwanted has come true. The world is going on but the human has stopped. He was in a race and the world wanted to give it a teaching. Here it is, the very trendy, Corona Virus. The world is still colorful and beautiful but it has taken away colors from the beam of your sight and has made you see it as grey- the grayest you can. The skies are clear but curves have flattened. Believe that God has won the battle, and you have lost it. The things you could not understand, the castes, the religion, the gender- everything you regarded as an “issue”, is clarified by COVID-19. The myths have broken, diamonds have lost values, the love is in being away and virtually talking, sorry and thank you are last for someone. Regrets are being cleared away, and there is a healthy world- the kind of world that somewhere at the back of our minds was there-but without this epidemic. I hail for the peace and love, and the bonds of humans, stronger and beautiful. Save the oxygen, you know money can’t buy it. Save the beauty, you know it is worth it.

You, who is running for breath, tie up your shoelace, you have no time to suffocate for breath.I know you long for rest, the end is here. Now, light a light for your own salvation. Just before you have wanted, just after you have expected, the sky turned angry and the Almighty won the battle that you had longed for.
