Depression - Stereotype or Stereotyped?

You would have often adressed yourself as depressed whether you are or not. Its has been commonly a trend where depression has become one of the adornments of human soul.

Depression is universal stereotypical form of mental disorder. It is treated as the most casual form of anxiety, tension, stress or 'mood swings' by today's youth. It is often made synonymous to melancholy, sorrow, discouragement, pessism and words alike that generally represent the tempramental state of human mind. 

When one searches on Google, Depression stands opposite to the word 'Cheerfulness'. Treating it as a lack of happiness, Depression is stereotyped by young generation to elucidate their state of mind which is unstable due to personal emotional, mental, or physical basis. 

Depression has its own symptoms, causes, reasons and solutions. Let's not talk about the 'stereotypical' aspects of it as it is continually in a trend to unnecessarily debate over one's depressed state of mind. 

How to overcome depression? 
Many ways to overcome depression has been founded, or said generally.
Let's just look at some of the effective ways:

1. Don't keep it in yourself
When you feel depressed, never digest the reasons, vomit them out. Write them. Stand in front of a mirror and rant them. Sing them. The most effective way has been proved during the years is to WRITE out everything you feel. A piece of paper can very beautifully solve your confused mind and make you feel relaxed. Share everything with someone you love and call them frequently 

2. Think about a happy memory 
Dejection, sorrow and self-hatred (depressed people has PHD in self-hatred) can be thrown away from mind when a happy memory overcomes it. Whenever you feel depressed, just go through the chain of happy events that have happened throughout your life and laugh at them. Laughing will cut down your stress level and make you feel relaxed. 

3. Listen to music
Music can touch your soul. Listening to music is the best exercise flr depression afflicted person. Try to listen to soft and motivating songs - "Unstoppable". Plug in your earphones, increase the volume and listen to the notes and dance on them. Try to induge yourself in fun and happiness and you will find yourself in balanced state of mind. 

4. Bring in meditation to your routine
Meditation can really purify your mind and free you from the corrupting thoughts. Sit with your eyes closed and try to shut your brain or think about a happy place and there you go. Do it daily and try to make it a routine for healthy mental health and a healthy lifestyle. Meditation can help you win over yourself and make yourself happy person all over again.

5. Try to attract positive and ignore negative
"You're amazing." , "Everyone loves you." , " You're a happy person." , "You make everyone optimist."
Sounds like a motivating thing. Try to listen to people who say positive things about you and do not demoralize your soul. Know yourself that you're a worthy person and you're meant to live for those people who actually love you. 

You can really overcome depression and bring in positivity back with a smile that never fades away. So Smile Please and get started to work on yourself to beleive that you're the best and no one can make you dejected.
